Charles R. “ Skippy” Eckhardt, 35, of Moundsville, WV passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011 in
Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown WV.


He was born December 13, 1975, the son of  Charles A. Eckhardt and Gary Lynn (Arruda) Eckhardt of
Moundsville.  


He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church Moundsville. Skippy loved to ride on the lawn mower
and to swim. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.


He was preceded in death by both his Maternal & Paternal Grandparents.


In addition to his parents he is survived by one sister, Susan Eckhardt of Charlotte, NC; three brothers,
Garrison A., James W., and John C. Eckhardt all of Moundsville WV; several Aunts Uncles and Cousins.


Visitation  will be held on Wednesday
, August 10, 2011 from 6-8 PM at CARE Funeral & Cremation Service
1500 Second Street Moundsville.  Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Thursday
, August 11, 2011 at
the CARE Chapel with committal services to immediately follow at Green View Cemetery, Moundsville.

Betty L. “Susie” Frye, 65 of Moundsville, WV passed away on August 9, 2011.

She was born August 13, 1945.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Wade Sr. and Betty Lee Wade; and a son, Cecil Leroy
Dolin.

She is survived by her husband, Austin Frye; four children, Misty Dolin, Tammy and Dave Debolt, James
Dolin and Lynn Hurst; also two brothers, Cecil Wade Jr. and James Haglock; 4 grandchildren, David and
William Dolin, Ashley Johnson and Mike Hurst; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at CARE Funeral and Cremation Services, 1500 Second St., Moundsville, WV on
Friday, August 12, 2011 from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm.

Funeral services will be held at the CARE Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10am with Pastor Paul
K. Smith officiating.

John E. Bopp Sr., 75 of Moundsville, WV died August 10, 2011.

He was born September 16, 1935 in Wheeling, the son of Chester S. and Katherine M. Bopp of Wheeling.

John was a former Moundsville Police Officer, serving 1961-1968.  He then went to Consol Coal where he
retired from the McElroy Mine in January of 1998 after 30 years of service.

He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, Veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of the American
Legion Post #3.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Chester S. Jr.

Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years Joyce Mobley Bopp, two sons, David (Jodi) and John E. (Christy)
Bopp Jr.; a grandson, Johnathon (Johnny) and granddaughter, Kayla; one sister, Mary (John) Rataiczak of
Bellaire, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services to be held at Temple Baptist Church, 2300 Second St., Moundsville, WV on Wednesday,
August 17, 2011 at 11am with Pastor James Higginson conducting the service.

Memorial donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Samuel B. Clark, 72 of Moundsville, WV died Tuesday, August 16, 2011.

He was born on October 19, 1938 in Moundsville, WV the son of Burnice Clark and Lena M. Shaw.

He was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church.

During his years of employment he was employed by  Fostoria for 19 years and worked 2 years as a coal
miner. He worked a total of  21 years at Ormet and completed his many years of employment with Change
Inc. of Moundsville, where he was employed for 11 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Clark Atzenhofer and Virginia
Clark; and one brother, William Clark.

Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Rebecca S. Robinson Clark of Moundsville, WV; two daughters,
Kimra (Mike) Clark Jackson of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Patience E. Clark of Moundsville, WV; two sons, Douglas
F. (Lisa) Clark of Moundsville, WV and Andrew T. Clark of Arizona; one brother, Robert L. (Jean) Clark of
Moundsville, WV; and his much loved eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be at the CARE Chapel on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from noon until the time of
Memorial Services at 1pm with the Rev. J. Thomas Steele of the Moundsville Baptist Church.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Texan Verl  Smith  81, of Cameron WV., passed away on Friday August 26, 2011 at Cameron Nursing
and Rehabilitation Center Cameron.


He was born April 17, 1930 the son of the late Ellis” Bud” Smith and Ruby Roxy (Blake) Sampson in
Cameron WV.


Texan was a Christian by faith and a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in Korea. Prior
to his retirement he was employed by Penn Line Pa. for years and worked in the construction industry.


Texan loved to read his bible and enjoyed reading Christian books of which he completed many. He always
brought joy to all those around him and had a great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his step-father Robert Sampson and a brother, Keith
Sampson.


He is survived by two sisters, Karel (Worley) McFadden of Cameron WV and Marcella(Joe) Ross of Aleppo
Pa.  One brother, Lonnie(Carolyn) Sampson of Moundville Al., and many Nieces Nephews, Great Nieces
and Nephews.


Friends will be received at CARE Funeral & Cremation Service 1500 Second Street Moundsville; on Sunday
August 28, 2011 from 3 to 6pm.


Funeral Services for Texan will be held in the CARE Chapel on Monday August 29 at 11AM with Pastor
Tom Singo of the Windy Gap Independent Church. Committal services are to follow at Highland Cemetery in
Cameron with the Moundsville Veterans Honor Guard.

JoAnn “Jodi” Grimm Mayo, 75 of Moundsville, WV passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011 at her
residence.

She was born May 28, 1936 in Marshall County, the daughter of the late Thomas and Osa Murray Grimm.

Jodi was a retired Nurse from St. Francis Hospital.

She is survived by a son, Larry Charles Mayo of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Holly Jane and Andrew
Mayo, both of Dallas, TX; her brother, James (Lynne) Grimm of Moundsville, WV and sister, Nellie (Larry)
Pozell of Moundsville, WV; and a special niece, Christy (Bob) Dickerson, Moundsville, WV.

Per Jodi’s request the family will hold services at a later date.
