Brian lives in Wheeling, WV with his wife, Sandy Whitfield Bonar and
their son Tyler. Brian graduated from John Marshall High School in
1988 where he was a member of the football team. Brian attended
West Liberty State College and completed his Funeral Director and
Embalmer apprenticeship at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home in
Morgantown, WV. In 1996, Brian graduated from the Pittsburgh
Institute of Mortuary Science and became a licensed Funeral Director
and Embalmer. Brian is a United States Army Veteran and served with
the 463rd Engineering Battalion in New Martinsville, WV. For 9 years
Brian worked in South Florida as a Funeral Director, Embalmer and
Crematory Operator for the two largest funeral corporations in America.
Brian became impatient with the impersonal nature of large volume
funeral care and ended his time in Florida working for a well
established and respected, family owned firm. It was this experience
that instilled in Brian the desire to return home, to Moundsville, WV.
and found CARE Funeral and Cremation Service. Brian now serves as
the Managing Funeral Director and Embalmer at CARE and is looking
forward to establishing a long and productive relationship with the
Moundsville community.
