Louis “Luigi” E. Corvino, Sr., 62, of Wheeling, WV passed away Wednesday, August 01, 2012 at his residence.
He was born August 11, 1949 in Belmont County, OH., son of the late Joseph and Elvira Sparachane Corvino.
Louis was a Catholic by faith who attended St. Johns Catholic Church, Benwood. He was an employed as a coal miner for Consol and loved to watch sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Marsh and Delores Cusky.
He is survived by three children, Wende (Jack) Lightner of Moundsville, Angela Griffin of Wheeling and Louis Jr. (Amy) Corvino of Wheeling; eldest grandson, David Michael Corvino of Moundsville, nine additional grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four sisters, Louise Cooper of Benwood, Teresea (Bud) Lunsford of N.C., MaryAnn (Frank) Longwell of Wheeling and Rosie (Walter) Yates of Benwood; two brothers, Joseph
(Debbie) Corvino of McMechen and Carl (Karen) Corvino of Bellaire, OH.; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 11am until the time of service at 3pm at CARE Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 second street, Moundsville, with Rev. Bekeh Utietiang officiating.
