Lucille Means, 91, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 at Ohio Valley Medical Center.
Lucille was born April 11, 1918 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Grove A. Calvert and Amelia M. Strawman Calvert.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ash Avenue Church of God.
Lucille enjoyed baking, canning and making candy. She was an Easter decorator for G.C. Murphy Co., Wheeling, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Carl Means; and two sons, David and Michael Means.
Survivors include one sister, Loise Sinderker of Texas; one daughter, Beverly (Lester) Nulph of McMechen, WV; two sons, Daniel Means and Carl (Alice) Means of Wheeling, WV; eighteen grandchildren; many great-
grandchildren, and many more great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday, July 30th from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at the Ash Avenue Church of God, Ash Avenue, Moundsville, WV with Pastor Chuck Swiger officiating.
A private interment will follow at Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, WV.
