Gifts & Memorial Donations

Dennis Mark Edge, 64, of Wheeling, WV, joined family and friends in Heaven on August 1, 2020 after leaving his battle with cancer behind.
He was born November 14, 1955, the son of Harry “Eddie” Edge and Gloria “Diane” (Staley) Edge.
Denny was a proud Navy Vet., having served on the USS Concord, and never missed the Army/Navy game. He was also a proud Wheeling Island Rat, using some of his last days on earth watching the river from his front porch. He enjoyed driving around the island during the holidays to look at all the decorated houses. He loved Christmas. Most importantly, he was a proud family man. A great brother and father, Denny would do anything for his family. He was always good for a laugh and knew how to turn a rainy day into a sunny one.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Stacy Edge-Hornich and his infant brother, Harry Edge Jr.
He is survived by his children, Erica (Matt) Edge of Valley Grove, WV and Teik (Kayla) Edge of Colerain, OH; brothers, Roy (Deb) Edge of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tim (Brenda) Edge of Tempe, AZ and Scott (Linda) Edge of Wheeling, WV; uncles, Richard (Patricia) Edge, Bill (Patricia) Edge & Neil (Theresa) Straley; his ex-wife and best friend Patti (John) Edge and grandchildren, Amy, Allison and Alex Yahn, Enzley Edge, Trevor Tottka and Leia Murphy.
There will be no services at this time. Denny didn’t like the fuss and sadness that came with funerals. Instead, please think funniest, craziest, and best memories of him and raise a glass in his honor.

    Roy Edge says:
To my brother Dennis. I've known you all your life, imagine that! We have had some knock down drag out fights as well as some of the best brotherly love moments brothers could have. You served in the military as I did. For a while even stationed so close together, that when you got liberty you would high-tail it over to my apartment. You have the soul of a saint. You would always do whatever you could to help others, family, friends, strangers. My heart grieves for your passing, but also is filled with joy and happiness of our time together. That is something that will never ever change. Give Mom, Dad, Stacy and Harry a big hug for me and tell them all we love them and miss you. Raise the anchor and full speed ahead!
