She was born February 22, 1936 in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Albert H. and Helen Schneider Schaper.

Dorothy was retired from Maroon Enterprises.  She was an avid reader of books and loved to crochet. She raised Belgium horses, and was still in touch with many of her friends and classmates of Triadelphia High School, Class of 1952.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Miller in 2002 and her only son, Frank W. Miller in 1992, a sister, Mary Porter and a brother, Fred Schaper.

For those who loved Dorothy, we admire her strength, her stubbornness, her giving nature and her advice, though sometimes we were reluctant to take it.  She only wanted the best for us.  We will miss her terribly and carry a part of her in our hearts forever.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
