Elizabeth Butler, 75, of Moundsville, died Friday, November 1, 2019 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 10, 1943 in Fayetteville, WV, a daughter of the late Samuel L. and Annis Moore Burton.
Elizabeth was retired Director of Nursing at Sunbridge Nursing Home and was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Homer Butler in 2008, 2 sisters; Virginia Copeland and Edna Mae Buskin, and 2 brothers; Eugene and John W. Burton.
Elizabeth is survived by 2 children; Lisa (Johnny) Elson of Moundsville, WV, and Roy (Renee) Butler of Proctor, WV, 3 sisters; Elsie Harris of Logansport, IN, Helen Haag of Reynoldsville, PA and Annis Lea Piotrowski of Lafayette, IN, along with 5 grandchildren; Moriah (Riley) Elson Crow, Josh Streight, Tanner Butler, Savannah (Josh) Scott and Michael Moore and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 11:00am until time of services at 1:00pm at the Cornerstone Church of God, 2401 First Street., Moundsville, WV with Pastor Ronald Wilfong officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

    Henry and I went to church with Homer and Liz at the Lighthouse on Fish Creek. I am so so sorry at the loss of her but she is in a better place now. Liza has my heart felt condolence. Breaks my heart. Loved her and Homer.
