Gay Elaine Forbes 64 of Bellaire, Ohio died Friday August 13, 2021 at her home.

She was born September 30, 1956 a daughter of the late David and Nelle (Burkhardt) Forbes in Bellaire, Ohio.

Gay graduated from Bellaire High School and went on to get her Associates degree from West Virginia Northern.

She worked for Prudential doing clerical work and was a Methodist by faith.

Gay loved to travel and was very outgoing. She enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds and was especially fond of Johnny Bench.

Gay was a Civil War buff and liked American history.

She was a fan of the Beatles and Elvis.

She was always very kind and a champion for animals, often taking in strays and sharing her home.

Gay was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Darlene Forbes of Shadyside, Ohio, a nephew David Forbes of Austin, Texas, and a niece Amanda Forbes of Savannah, Georgia.

In addition she is survived by a great-nephew Tyler Forbes along with many cousins and extended family.

In accordance with her wishes for formal services will be held.

Arrangements by the Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists 204, W. Main St. St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
