Georgia Merle Adams, 89, of Moundsville, WV died, Friday, September 6, 2019, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 2, 1930, in Moundsville, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Doty Thomas.
Georgia was retired as a cook with Family Services Nutrition Program and was a member of the Ash Ave. Church of God.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Adams, Sr., son, Ralph Adams, Jr., daughter, Marilyn Woods, and a brother, Ralph Thomas.
Surviving are 5 children; Ronald Adams, Phillip Adams, Gerald (Peggy) Adams, Sharon Fish, all of Moundsville, Diane (Roger) Whipkey of Limestone, a brother, Ronald “Sonny” Thomas of Alliance, OH, 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the CARE Funeral and Cremation Service, 1500 2nd St., Moundsville, where services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Higginson officiating.
Burial will follow in Limestone Cemetery.
