Hunter Don Young, 13, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV, from an accident at his residence.
He was born December 7, 2005 in Wheeling, WV.
Hunter was a 7th grade student at Moundsville Middle School, played basketball for Central Elementary School where he broke two school records, a Moundsville Middle School football player and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Hunter from the time he was able to speak aspired to be a police officer.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Hooker; maternal grandmother, Margaret Conrad; great uncle, Rocky Wells; grandfather, Mark Thompson; great grandparents, Daisy Winland, Don Wells and Orie Yoho.
Surviving are his parents Orie “Nicky” & Bernie Young of Moundsville; two brothers, Robert and Alex Young of Moundsville; paternal grandmother, Donna Hooker of Moundsville; maternal grandfather, Coleman Conrad of Florida; 12 uncles and aunts, Crystal (Jamie) Hooker Debbie (Bill) Kotson, Diana (Mike) Conrad, James (Crystal) Conrad, Ronnie (Missy) Conrad, Lonnie Conrad, Robert Young, John (Michelle) Hooker, Richard (Amy) Hooker. Donald Wells, Rocky Wells and Roy (Rachel) Hall; two special cousins, Jamie Hooker Jr; Nakitta Hooker and her fiance Danny Wells; Ieaha Burroway, Seth and Cade Kotson & several other cousins.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 1pm to time of services at 3pm at CARE
Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 2nd Street Moundsville.
