Jenny Swanson AKA Geneva Gale (Fletcher) Venrick, 74, of McMechen, WV passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Boone County, WV on November 8, 1946, daughter of the late Robert Webb Fletcher & Oma Maria (Marcum) Fletcher.
Jenny was a self employed cleaning lady, loved to clean, sing and listen to music. She was a former member of the Ohio Country Music Association.
She is survived by her two children, Charles “Danny” Hamaker (Erica Burge) of Columbus, OH & Michelle Tamborello of Houston, TX; 4 siblings, Helen (Bob) Baldwin of Columbus, Linda Fletcher of Columbus, Steve (Lana) Fletcher of North Fort Myers, FL, and Dallas Fletcher of North Fort Myers, FL; 6 grandchildren, Punky Loranger (Spencer Risden) of Benwood, WV, J.D. Hamaker (Kayla Huston) of Marysville, OH, Bronson Moghaddan of Atlanta GA, Cheyenne (Daniel) Irwin of Galliopolis, OH, Barbara Jean Hamaker of Huntington, WV and MacKenzie Hamaker of Grove City, OH; 5 great- grandchildren, Gabriel Hamaker, James Raney, Gracen Irwin and Kynna Hamaker and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Columbus, Ohio at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family of Jenny, to help offset any financial difficulties her death may have caused

    I remember my mom singing to my brother Danny and I when we were kids, and she loved to sing for us. She had such a great, and beautiful voice. I love you very much mommy and will miss you very much.

    I only knew Jenny for a short time she was my neighbor and I would see her from time to time it was only around Christmas of 2020 when I went to drop off a Christmas gift for her that I really got to meet her she had just got out of the hospital and from then on we became really good friends she was sweet kind and very funny she had great faith and we enjoyed talking about music and sharing stories together it was an honor to know her and I loved it when she laughed I miss going over and visiting her as I did every day my regret is that I didn’t get to know her before I will miss her and never forget her her family is in my prayers daily
