Jody Lynn Linger, 58, of Lisbon died February 24, 2017 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born in East Liverpool OH February 25, 1959 a daughter of Albina “Binnie” Stanley and James Stanley and his Companion Linda Reeder.
Having lived her entire life in the area, Jody was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1977 and completed a degree in Nursing at Kent State University. She worked as a registered nurse for 20 years at East Liverpool City Hospital in the SNF Unit and Telemetry Unit. In addition, she worked at the East Liverpool Dairy Queen for 15 years, MM Vending and Quaker State. Jody was a kind and friendly person to everyone she met in life.
Jody is survived by her husband Donald Linger, whom she married August 11, 2001; two sons: Shayne R. Hamilton and his Fiancé Courtney Calabrese and Garrett J. Hamilton both of Calcutta; a brother: Jim Stanley of East Liverpool; and two sisters: Sally Stanley and Jenny Stanley both of East Liverpool; a beloved mother-in-law: Kathern Linger, and a Grandmother: Effie Stanley as well as her Canine Children: Blackie Chan, Buster Brown and Harley.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 4pm at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Pastor Cody Berry Officiating.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home Wednesday, from 12pm up until the time of service at 4pm
