Lon S. Excell, 66 formerly of Wellsville, Ohio passed away suddenly, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at his residence in Orlando, Florida.
He was born in East Liverpool on December 22, 1950 a son to the late Thomas H. Excell and Carol (Manes) Excell of Wellsville, Ohio. Lon was a graduate of Southern Local High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as an Equipment Operator for Orange County in Florida before retiring.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a brother: Daniel Thomas Excell of Wellsville, OH and two sisters: Bonny Sell and her husband David of Wellsville, OH and Sally Ann Brammer and her husband Todd of Lisbon, OH.
Services will be held at the Spring Hill Cemetery Chapel Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11 AM with Pastor Nick Timms of Bible Baptist Church officiating where the Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
Family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.
The Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes has been entrusted with his arrangements.
