Marsha Deanna Wassum, 77, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, with family.

She was born June 23, 1943, a daughter of the late Violet (Moffitt) Jobes. Marsha was a member of Moundsville Baptist Church and a franchise owner for H&R Block and worked there for over 40 years. She will be remembered by her friends and those close to her as the “Tax Encyclopedia”. Marsha enjoyed photography and was an avid lover of butterflies, she would photograph and collect them all.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas “Tom” Wassum (2014); her maternal grandparents, Homer “Pap” Moffitt and Otta “Gaye” McCoy-Moffitt; her son, Tommy Wassum (2019); one great-granddaughter, Isabella Clark (2016) and two siblings, Starr Sabo and Homer “Buzzy” Jobes.

Marsha is survived by her daughter, Patricia Roush of Moundsville; three grandchildren, Deanna (Rob) Clark, Matt Roush and Kyle Roush; seven great-grandchildren, Gabriella Clark, Camdyn Roush, Lyla Roush, Sadey Roush, Alyssa Roush, Briar Roush and Sierra Burge; several nieces and nephews and her loving friend, Jessie Clark Morris.

Family and friends will be received Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5-8 pm, at Care Funeral and Cremation, 1500 Second St., where funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12 at 10 am. Interment will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery.
