Mary A. Watson, 82 of Armstrong Lane in East Liverpool passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at East Liverpool City Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on December 14, 1934 a daughter to the late Alvin Z. Bailey and Sara V. (Wilson) Ramsey. Mary lived her entire life in this area and was a 1952 graduate of New Waterford High School. She worked as a cook for the former Adkins Nursing Home and attended the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters: Sally Watson Cappelli of Canonsburg, PA and Melody J. Green of East Liverpool, OH; five brothers: Alvin Bailey of Maryland, James Bailey of Washington, Roger Bailey of Arizona, Jerry Bailey of Australia and Robert Bailey of Ohio; six grandchildren: Tyler Green, Renee Green, Carly Cappelli, Michael Cappelli, Michelle Edmond and Loren Hoberek and three great grandchildren: Aidrianna, Gabriella and Samantha.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Robert H. Watson Jr.; a daughter: Michelle D. Watson and three sisters: Donna Wildman, Maxine Smith and Samantha Reichart.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11 AM with Evangelist Will Montgomery officiating. Burial will take place in Spring Grove Cemetery.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
