Mickey M. Gibbs of Wellsville, Ohio, passed away Thursday November 18, 2021 at her home in the arms of her loving husband and son.

Mildred (Mickey) M. Pletcher was born in Roseville, Ohio on October 26, 1935, the daughter of Clarence F. W. Pletcher and Irene Riley Pletcher.  Mickey was raised in foster care in Wellsville, Ohio from a very young age.

Mickey attended Wellsville schools and was a member of The Wellsville High School class of 1953.  She worked for over 40 years in local potteries with most of those years being spent at TS&T (Taylor, Smith & Taylor – Anchor Hocking) and The Homer Laughlin China Company, where she retired in 2005.

Mickey loved being home, decorating her house, working with flowers, watching birds and she had a great love for animals. She especially loved her little Boston Terrier, Maggie Mae, who passed away earlier this year.

Most of All, Mickey loved her family and felt blessed to be able to spend so much time with two of her granddaughters, Ashley Clendenning Allmon and Brittany Clendenning, during their childhood, who gave her the name MeMe.  She also felt especially blessed to become a mother once again to her son Zachary Allen Gibbs.

Left to cherish Mickey’s memory are her husband Scott A. Gibbs, whom she married December 5, 1998 and they were blessed to spend the past 32 years together sharing a great love and friendship.  Her children Anita (David) Kornbau of Washingtonville, Ohio, David Angellone of Wellsville, Ohio, Carolyn Keller of Phoenix, Arizona, Michelle (Matt) Rawson of Wellsville, Ohio and Zachary Gibbs at home.  Grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Sevenich, Andrew (Kassandra) Kornbau, Autumn (Corey) Woods, Anthony (Holli) Angellone, Emilee Angellone, David (Shayla) Angellone, R.C. Keller, Ashley (Donato) Allmon,  Brittany Clendenning and Matthew Rawson.  as well as 11 great grandchildren.  Mickey was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shasta Keller.  Mickey leaves behind a sister, Hazel French.

Mickey will also be sadly missed by her Mother in Law, Shirley Gibbs, her Sisters and Brothers in Law, Cindy and Ron Woodyard, Gary and Cindy Gibbs, and Libby and Wilbert Bonnick, as well as her nieces, other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Angels for Animals at 4750 S. Range, Canfield, Ohio 44406 in Mickey’s name.

    Cindy Woodyard says:
Mickey was not my sister in law, she was my sister. From the moment I met her, i loved her. My brother loved her, therefore I loved her. Why wouldn't I? She was the kindest, sweetest and most accepting person. She wouldn't take any crap from anyone either, which made me love her more. Mickey and Scott shared a deep and lasting love. She made him the happiest man and he idolized her. A wonderful sister, wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love her. Peace to you sister, you deserve it❤❤

    Chris McCormack says:
Scott and his family were so impactful in my life as a high school student. Howard and Shirley were my "Cleavers" and I, as Eddie Haskel, would often drop in just to hangout. My thoughts and prayers go out to Scott and his family.
