Roger Biddle Brown, 65, of Chokoloskee, FL formerly of Powhatan Point, OH died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Celebration Hospital in Orlando, FL. Roger, the son of Betty Ann Howell Brown and the late Hunter Biddle Brown of St. Clairsville, OH, was born on February 21, 1954 in Wheeling, WV.

Roger was a graduate of River High School and Meredith Manor, specializing in Horsemanship. He and Vickie Wirth, his longtime partner in life and business, owned a successful horse training facility “Best of Both Worlds” in Middleboro, MA. Roger was well- known and respected horse trainer specializing in Morgan Horses. His favorite moments were winning the 2016 World Championship at Morgan Horse Show in Western Pleasure Gentleman and the World Championship in Futurity Western Pleasure in Oklahoma City, OK. His legacy will continue in having trained several World and National Champion Amateur and Junior Exhibitors and the horses they showed.
Roger loved his boat and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a friend to all who knew him with his gentle, kind spirit. After retirement, Vickie and he spent their summers in Beals Island, ME and winters in Chokoloskee, FL.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Michael A. Zambito; a niece, Jennifer Zambito-Knaur.

Surviving are his mother, Betty Ann Howell Brown of St. Clairsville; his loving partner, Vickie Wirth of Chokoloskee; his daughter, Sarah (Paul) McEachern of Roanoke, VA; his grandchildren, Ian, Aiden and Makayla; his step-daughter, Christine Botelho and her children, Nicholas and Justin; three sisters, Joyce Zambito of Wheeling, Pat (Jack) Ranttila of Chicago, IL, and Amy (Matt) Hiner of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; nieces and nephews, Christopher Zambito, Mark Zambito, Timothy Ranttila, Annie Ranttila, Emily Hiner, Bennett Hiner and Madeline Hiner; eight great nephews and one great niece.

Friends will be received on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 1-3 pm at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialist 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville with funeral services at 3 pm with Reverend Margie Carr officiating.
