Ronald “Bill” Williams, 94, died at his home on Monday, July 13, 2020, after an extended illness.
Born in East Liverpool on September 26, 1925, Bill was the son of the late John C. Williams and Ida (Liston) Williams and had lived most of his life here in the East Liverpool area.
A contractor, Bill was self employed with Seckman and Williams Construction. He and his partner, LaVerne Seckman built many homes over the 30 years they were together. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, class of 1943, a Veteran serving with the U.S. Navy, and a member of East Liverpool Elks Lodge # 258, Bill also enjoyed hunting and fishing in Canada and the western United States and playing many types of card games with his friends and family
Survivors include one son; Billy Joe Williams and his wife, Betsy, of East Liverpool, three daughters, Elizabeth Scott of Columbiana, Ohio, Kitty Myers and her husband, Randy, of East Liverpool and Virginia Noland of Denver, Co. four grandchildren , Madgel Rickert of Canfield, Lael Scott of Columbus, Zachary Myers of Cincinnatti and Lucas Myers of East Liverpool and eleven great grandchildren.
Bill is also survived by his long time friend, Jackie Sachs of East Liverpool.
In addition to his parents he preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters

Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Ellen Barney officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville on Friday at 10:00 AM where the Tri-State Burial Group will accord military honors.
Friends and family may call on Thursday from 3 to 6PM at the Calcutta Chapel. Due to Covid 19, social distancing and masks should be worn.
