Ruth Ellen (Gump) Ice, 83, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Moundview Health Care.

She was born June 1, 1935, in Marshall County, daughter of the late Louis and Alice (Taylor) Gump.

She was a former assembly line worker at the Moundsville Stamping, and a member of the Temple Baptist Church, Moundsville.

In addition to Ruth’s parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Wayne Gump and two sisters, Stella Geraldine Gump and Ruby Jean West.

She is survived by her three sons, Shane (Linda) Garrison of Barnesville, OH, Ronnie (Barb) Garrison of St. Clairsville, OH and Rex (Janet) Garrison of Moundsville; two sisters, Janice Debolt of Moundsville and Linda (Raymond) Henry of Florida; brother, Louis (Mary) Gump of Moundsville; brother-in-law, Ralph West of Moundsville; seven grandchildren, Eric Garrison, Jessica (Dayne) Williams, Brian Garrison, Kylie (Kris) Ryder, Andrea Garrison, Dalton Garrison and Kianna Garrison; six great-grandchildren, a step-granddaughter, four step-great-grandchildren, and four step great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, from 5 pm until time of the Memorial Service at 7 pm at CARE Funeral & Cremation service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, with Rev. Jim Higginson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 40 12th Street, Wheeling WV 26003.
