Ruth N. Connell, 91 passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Shepherd of the Valley Hospice in Boardman, Ohio.
She was born in East Liverpool on July 25, 1926 a daughter of the late Donald and Sarah (Rutter) Parson. Ruth lived her entire life in this area working as a Ward Sec. for East Liverpool City Hospital for 38 years before retiring in 1993. She was a very active member of the 1st Evangelical Presbyterian Church, was the church organist for many years and very strong in her faith.
She is survived by two sons: John E. Connell of Hamilton, MT and Richard A. Connell of Hamilton, MT; one daughter: Deborah J. Jacobs of Orlando, FL; one brother: Donald Connell of Florida; a sister: Melva J. Yost of Clinton, MI; a grandson: Jason Allison of Canfield OH, who was her caregiver, as well as many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John R. Connell whom she married April 6, 1946 and a daughter: Linda K. Malin and a sister: Mary Simpson
Services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11 AM at the chapel of Columbiana County Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Mack Gray of the church officiating.
The Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes has been entrusted with her arrangements.
