Samuel Joseph Felekey “Pappy Sam”, 57 of East Liverpool, Ohio went to be with ‘the man up above” his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, he passed away suddenly surrounded by his loved ones at Heritage Valley in Beaver.
He was born on June 6, 1962 in East Liverpool, Ohio. He spent his childhood in Ohioville, PA and was a proud graduate of Western Beaver High School. Sam worked in the Jigger Shop at Hall China Company since 1992 and was looking forward to retiring in 6 years to spend more time with his precious grandchildren exploring the outdoors. Sam was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being in God’s Country with his family. He anxiously awaited hunting season each year to get out in the woods with his brother in law Raymond and father in law Ray. He also cherished his mother in law Sheila, playing Farmville, Slotomania and endless hours spent with his younger brother John, reminiscing about the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard “Grit” and Della “Ruth” (Walters) Felekey; a sister: Candance “Candy” Rummell; a brother: Dave Felekey and his paternal Aunt “Dot” and Uncle “Benny” and Uncle Bob Felekey.
He is survived at home by his beloved wife of 33 years, Lisa; his loving in laws Raymond “Boss Man” and Sheila “Toots” (Flierl) Weyand; his three daughters: Andrea “Lucy” Felekey-Wasko, Cassandra “Cassie” Felekey and his baby girl Samantha Jo “Sami Jo” Felekey along with her Fiance Ryan Martin. Sam’s legacy will be carried out by his grandchildren Benjamin “Ben”, Aris and Faith. Also surviving him are his younger brother John Felekey, his sister in law Paula Felekey; his sisters: Sandy and Cindy Felekey; his brother in law: Ron “Bub” Rummell; sister in law: Teresa Felekey and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be held at the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Mark Blakely officiating. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home from 12 PM up until the time of service at 3:30 PM.
