Sherry L. (Armstrong) LeMasters, age 81, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, after a brief illness.
Born in Yellow Creek Township on Dec. 26, 1938, Mrs. LeMasters was the daughter of the late William H. and Dorothy (Boots) Armstrong and lived her entire life in the area. She was a graduate of Wellsville High School, class of 1956, received her Bachelors Degree from Kent State University and her Masters Degree from Youngstown State. She had work for 29 years as a teacher in the Edison Local School District retiring in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Uel M. LeMasters, in 2001. They were married on June 16, 1957.
Mrs. LeMasters is survived by two daughters, Lynn (James) Boyer of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Diana (Gary) Lyle of Wellsville, Ohio. Two grandchildren, Shannon (Joseph) Lucas of Wellsville and Katie (William) Barcus of Negley, three great-grandchildren, Joey Lucas, Garrett Lucas, and Ethan Barcus and a brother, William W. Armstrong of Arizona.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Pyle.
Private services will be held at the MacLean Chapel of the Care Funeral and Cremation Specialist with Pastor Mark Blakely officiating, Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
