Shirley (Ammon) Balser,70, of Wellsville died at the Valley Oaks Care Center in East Liverpool on Sunday December 15, 2019 following a lengthy illness.
She was born in East Liverpool on August 8, 1949, a daughter of the late Roy Ammon and Pearl Stiner Ammon. Having lived in the area all her life she worked as a nurse’s aid at the former Grey Stone/Mary Fletcher Nursing Home in Wellsville and was later a housekeeper at Mountaineer Race Track.
Shirley is survived by her husband Donald Balser whom she married September 18, 1992; a son Norman Bender of East Liverpool; a daughter: Nora Bradley of Canal Winchester OH; two brothers Ralph “Butch” Ammon of Wellsville and Jack Ammon Sr. of Mingo Junction and a sister Donna Glazebrook of Wellsville.
In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
As per Shirley’s wishes no calling hours or services has been planned.
The Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists MacLean Chapel in Wellsville has been entrusted with these arrangements.
