I’m sorry I did not find this out until today. My thoughts and prayers to the family. I always love seeing Joe when I would be visiting and staying with my grandparents, Leona and Tom. He always treated me so kindly. And he was wonderful to have around. I’m sorry for your loss.

A wonderful man and coach. He was a powerful and positive influence during my youth and I will be forever thankful. I had hoped to see him again in 2020 for our 60th Holy Redeemer HS reunion but he has gone to a better place. My family sends our condolences to all of your family.

My favorite memory of Coach was him sitting on the bleachers while the team went through lay-ups at the start of practice. He would be smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee and reading the Free Press or a Racing Form all the while singing a Sinatra or Perry Como song. He had to be the most laid back, easy-going coach I have ever met, but he was fun to play for. The last time I saw Coach at a Redeemer golf outing 15 years ago, I introduced my son to him and told him that I wish my kids had had the opportunity to play for a coach like him. He loved his players and I think we all learned to love. him. God bless Coach Joe and sincerest condolences to the LaScola family and close friends.

I am so sorry to hear the passing of Coach Joe LaScola. We just talked a few days ago. He shared plans of golf for next week. Coach brought great meaning to "Friendship" and never wavered in his belief of Friends, God and love of Family. He has given me great memories over the years, never to be forgotten. We have lost a great friend. Be assured, Coach is now with Pauline and Family, awaiting our arrival. Love, Tom

I am so saddened to hear about the passing of my dear friend. We spent many hours talking as well as golfing. He gave me so much advice and had a heart of gold. To his family-I want you all to know I am sorry I can't be there for the viewing and funeral as we are out of town. I love Joe and will miss him and his kindness. May God put His loving arms around his children and loved ones during this very difficult time.
