I recall that my dad and Mom, Joyce, went to a lot of state conventions with Jim, Ellen, Jimmy & Jeff. I have an old photo of them at a Reds game all smiling. My dad said that Mr. Tekely Beat our neighbors uncle, Mr. Capito in a 100 yard dash state regional final at Dover one time in the 1950s. My dad & Mom always talked about the Tekelys & loves to visit them. Deepest sympathy

I recall Jim as a very straight forward person and Ellen, Jimmy & Jeff spent a lot of time with my family from Tuscarawas at State conventions. My dad showed me a photo of where Jim edged our neighbors Uncle Mr. Capitol in the State Track Regional at Dover in the 1950s for a win, wow! Hope that you all remember all the good times we had together. Deepest sympathy.

I had known Jim Jr. for many years and met Jim Sr. in chemo. He was always very concerned about my well being and our discussions made chemo days go faster. I know he met his maker with an out stretched hand and a few good stories. I just found out about his passing at this late date and want to give my heart felt condolences to his family. I know that he will be missed by all who knew him.

My dearest condolences to the Tekely family. Your husband/father was one of the kindest soft spoken persons I was fortunate to have known. From little baseball to high school football & most importantly as a person, he made you feel like you were the BEST. In all reality, you were the BEST!! God Bless you & thoughts & prayers

So sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I've been back in the area, retired, living in Bridgeport and attending Sunday services at Jim & Ellen's church in Bellaire, the First United Methodist Church. Jim and his wife were on our "Thinking of You" list for the month of December, 2019, so I thought about them in private. My condolences and prayers go out to Jim's and Ellen's family and friends during this time of loss. RIP, Jim. Your work is done. Heaven has a new angel to watch over us.

To Jim's Family... my deepest sympathies for your loss. We we're on opposite sides of the political parties but we were friends and it was done with dignity and respect by Jim. We had a lot of wonderful conversations. Jim was one of those people that provided tremendous public service it's supported many people in his community and State. God Bless. Bob Ney
